We suggest starting in London where you'll visit the Warner Brothers Studio Tour to explore the authentic sets and props used in the films. Then make your way to Oxford, where you'll explore the ancient streets and university buildings that inspired many of the series' settings. From there, head north to Alnwick Castle, the famous location used as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films. Also take a look at the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral and its beautiful cloisters. Along the way, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the English countryside.

At most locations, it's possible to take a guided tour and learn about the history and culture of these iconic sites. Alnwick Castle

This beautiful castle served as the exterior of Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films. We'll explore the castle grounds and learn about its long and fascinating history. We'll also have the chance to take some amazing photos of the castle, and perhaps even visit the spot where Harry and Ron took their flying car for a spin!

Gloucester Cathedral

Next, we suggest heading to Gloucester Cathedral, the stunning site that served as the backdrop for Hogwarts' Great Hall in the Harry Potter films. Hogwarts Express

We suggest a relaxing end to your tour with a very special ride on the Hogwarts Express! You'll board the iconic train and take a scenic ride through the English countryside, enjoying the same views that Harry and his friends experienced in the films.

Hop aboard the Jacobite steam train and take a journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes of Scotland. This is the real train that took the characters to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry From the stunningly serene waters of Loch Ness to the majestic hills of the Highlands, you'll soak in the breathtaking views and explore the rich culture of this unique and historic railway. Along the way, make stops at some iconic sites, including Glenfinnan Viaduct and Corrour Station. Tour Itinerary

Day One

Welcome to the magical world of Harry Potter! We suggest beginning your journey by crossing the Millennium Bridge to a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, where you'll explore the sets, costumes, and props used in the Harry Potter films. You'll have the chance to walk down Diagon Alley, explore Hagrid's Hut and even hop on board Platform 9 ¾. We'll also get to see the breathtakingly detailed model of Hogwarts Castle and stand on the actual sets of the Great Hall, the Gryffindor Common Room, and more.

Day Two

On Day Two, explore the city of London and all its magical sites!

  • Start with a visit to the Leaky Cauldron, where we can grab a delicious snack and take some amazing photos.

  • From there, we'll make our way to St. Paul's Cathedral, where you can experience the same view as Harry did when he flew over London on the back of Buckbeak.

  • You can also take a trip to the Ministry of Magic, where you can take some photos (from a distance). The Ministry of Magic scenes were shot at the Great Scotland Yard in Westminster.

  • Visit Leadenhall Market, where scenes of Diagon Alley were filmed and grab another well-deserved snack!

  • Finally, make your way to King's Cross Station, where you can walk through the iconic Platform 9 ¾ to board the magical Hogwarts Express!
